SUSSEX HERITAGE TRUST COMMERCIAL AWARD WINNER JULY 2025
We are very proud to introduce our award winning renovation and restoration of Grade II Listed The Swan Inn in Fittleworth, West Sussex.
Working closely with our client and conservation officers, we led the restoration and renovation of The Swan, bringing new life to this 14th-century Grade II listed pub. The work focused on preserving the building’s historic character—repairing the original Horsham stone-slate roof, restoring original timber roof structure, and retaining period features—while upgrading the interiors to suit modern use. The inn now includes a 46-cover dining room, a converted barn for breakfasts and events, and 12 carefully designed ensuite bedrooms.
The Swan remains as a traditional part of the village with all of its long history intact, and has now been uplifted to modern standards.
