This site was formerly a garage, and the buildings and hard standing areas covered 100% of the ground area. Planning permission was granted to construct 8 semi-detached houses for the private sector, however the developer was unable to proceed with an open market scheme and so the site was sold to a Housing Association for affordable housing. Externally the houses remained unaltered, but internally they were changed from 3 bedroom to 4 bedroom units. The houses were designed to achieve Level 3 of the Code for Sustainable Homes.
